Knowledge and Nonaka's Knowledge Spiral

Knowledge must be developed and improved continuously, or knowledge will vanish. Knowledge will be effective only if clearly specified (Drucker, 2002). Knowledge is also about understanding that a specific thing (Nonaka, 1994).
Knowledge divided into two types, namely Tacit Knowledge and Knowledge explicit, this is supported by Duffy [1999], Nonaka [1998], Tiwana [2000], and Zack [1999].

Tacit knowledge is a form of knowledge without conscious (subconsciously) be understood and applied, is not easily articulated, is from direct experience and action. (Sunassee and Sewry, 2002). Tacit knowledge there is someone in mind, and has not been poured into the form of any posts, images, or other, which is real can be accessed by others.

While explicit knowledge is knowledge that can be easily articulated, captured and distributed in the form or format that is different. (Sunassee and Sewry, 2002).
Nonaka (1998) also explains that Tacit knowledge is difficult to be formulated, is also difficult to communicated to others. While explicit knowledge can be expressed into the form of words, numbers, and in the form of data. Knowledge on the real example this paper is explicit, because it can poured into the form of any posts, images, and other.
Knowledge is often seen as a rich form of information. David Guerteen (1999) in his writings that explain the definition of knowledge is more useful understanding of how (know-how) and understand why (know-why). Its analogy is make a cake, they know how to make a cake just is not enough, but we need information is the composition of pork and can decide what will make the cake. To know why (know-why) we choose the composition (ingredient) to make the cakes are also very important, so that we can determine the composition of the replacement is not available.
Why need to create a Knowledge?
Why do we create knowledge?
"Honda was trying to develop the CVCC engine, which had lower emission and higher fuel efficiency. Souichiro Honda, the founder and then CEO of Honda one day told his engineers that the engine would finally give Honda the opportunity to beat Big 3.
The engineers looked at Mr. Honda, and said, "Please, do not say such a thing. We are not doing this to beat other guys. We are doing this for our children. "
Mr. Honda was ashamed of himself, and said that he realized that he had become too old, and decided to retire. "  (A Story of the Honda - Nonaka and Toyama, 2006)
